Welcome to Garabedian Equipment’s Warranty Guide for Transmissions, Differentials, and Engines. We take pride in offering various grades of units to meet our customers’ specific needs and budgets. This document clearly outlines the warranty coverage for each grade of equipment we offer, from fully rebuilt units to core engines. Please review these terms carefully to understand the coverage levels, exclusions, and proper procedures for warranty claims. It’s important to note that all warranty services must be coordinated through Garabedian Equipment, and prior authorization is required for any repairs. Our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction is reflected in our warranty policies and our three-option approach to resolving warranty issues.

Transmissions & Differentials
- Rebuilt units will have an 18-month warranty. A rebuilt will be completely disassembled and have all new bearings, seals, air lines and new synchro’s (assuming it is a transmission). It will have any other gear or part as necessary. Warranty does not cover overloading, overheating or abuse.
- Recon units will have a 12-month warranty. A recon will be completely disassembled and all parts will be replaced as necessary. All recons will have new seals, air lines and synchro’s. (assuming it’s a transmission) They may or may not have new bearings and new gears but any parts reused will be in very good condition. . Warranty does not cover overloading, overheating or abuse.
- Refurbished units will have a 6-month warranty. A refurbished unit will be partially disassembled and thoroughly inspected. It will have a new seal and any other parts as necessary. Warranty does not cover overloading, overheating or abuse.
- Pullout/Grade A will have a 30-day warranty. A Pullout Grade A will be inspected and will be in good condition but nothing extra will be done in the way of repairs. A Pullout Grade A is basically a good used unit that has been thoroughly inspected by trained mechanics in our gear department. Warranty does not cover oil leaks, air leaks, overloading, overheating or abuse.
- Pullout/Grade B, C & D will be as is and sold outright. Gears may be worn beyond use and have damage. They are primary for rebuilders who plan to rebuild them
In the event of a possible warranty, Garabedian Equipment must be contacted before any outside repairs are authorized. Garabedian Equipment will require the transmission or differential to be returned to our facility for inspection however If a failure occurs that can be repaired elsewhere, then Garabedian Equipment at its discretion may authorize an outside repair facility to repair the unit, in which case an estimate must be received and approved prior to those repairs being made. Garabedian Equipment does not pay for down time or loss of revenue. Garabedian Equipment may authorize outside labor to be paid in the event of a covered warranty but only with prior authorization.
Garabedian Equipment reserves the right to either:
- Repair the unit
- Send a replacement unit
- Refund the amount paid for the unit
Engines
- Inspected engines will have one-year warranty on the crankshaft. Block and head will have a 90-day warranty. Lack of oil, oil leaks and/or excessive oil consumption are not covered under warranty nor are overloading, overheating or abuse
- Bearings & Sealed engines will have a six-month warranty on the crankshaft. Block and head will have a 90-day warranty. Lack of oil, oil leaks and/or excessive oil consumption are not covered under warranty nor are overloading, overheating or abuse
- Pullout/Running engines will have a 30-day warranty on the block, crank and head. Lack of oil, oil leaks and/or excessive oil consumption are not covered under warranty nor are overloading, overheating or abuse
- Turn 360 engines will be guaranteed to turn free 360 degrees. Any other component will not be covered. Lack of oil, oil leaks and/or excessive oil consumption are not covered under warranty nor are overloading, overheating or abuse
- Core engines are sold AS IS with no warranty
